Brett Aresco is a true polymath. He has experience as a journalist, writer, producer, video editor, and actor. His lifelong passion for storytelling has led him to appear in and work on award-winning entertainment projects, report on landmark pieces of legislation, and talk to people from countless cultures and backgrounds. His insatiable curiosity has taken him to over 20 countries, with travels to many more on the horizon.

Brett currently writes for The Cool Down, which aims to connect readers to "a cleaner, cooler future." He recently completed a fellowship at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford, where he researched how the media covers crypto. In 2022, Brett graduated with honors from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where he specialized in international affairs reporting. His past work has appeared on the Columbia News Service, HowlRound, TheaterIsEasy, and elsewhere.

As a producer and video editor, he has worked with such production companies as Thirty5 Ventures and The SpringHill Company. His past projects include scripted shows and documentaries for HBO, ESPN, FX, Showtime, and Disney+, as well as live events for Momentum Worldwide.

As an actor, Brett has appeared in award-winning short films, world premiere plays, and commercials for major brands. His voiceover work includes iconic cartoon characters and yearslong advertising campaigns.
